- Lead the technical direction for AI platform integrations.
- Own the architecture for packaging, exposing, and rendering NerdWallet guidance inside third-party AI assistants.
- Write production code for new integrations, prototype platform capabilities, and unblock teams on difficult technical problems.
- Define shared abstractions, contracts, and patterns for platform teams.
- Track platform protocols, SDKs, review processes, and policies, and translate changes into roadmap and architecture decisions.
- Define evaluation and testing strategy, including automated evals, regression suites, and end-to-end tests.
- Partner with Security, Legal, and Compliance on authentication, consent, sensitive data, and financial compliance requirements.
- Set standards for monitoring, latency, cost, and incident response, and help resolve production issues.
- Lead design and code reviews, establish engineering standards, and mentor engineers.
- Partner with Engineering Managers and Product on priorities, estimates, risks, and technical investments.
