How We Work

BetterHelp is a remote-first company, operating on Pacific Standard Time, but we welcome candidates from any time zone. We gather in person up to three times annually in San Jose, CA, and for one company-wide offsite to foster strong relationships and collaboration. Engineering at BetterHelp

Our engineering team builds and maintains the secure, scalable platform connecting millions to therapists. We use a diverse tech stack including PHP/Laravel, React, and AWS, focusing on continuous deployment. Engineers tackle challenges in developing new products, integrating APIs, optimizing code, and designing robust database schemas. We are always innovating, experimenting with established and new technologies. You will develop end-to-end, owning features from inception to production and beyond. We prioritize secure coding practices and provide tools to support this.
