Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, health communication, journalism, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD, or Master’s) is a plus. 3+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical publishing, healthcare engagement, or similar roles involving relationship-building with healthcare professionals. Strong familiarity with the dermatology landscape. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Talent for building genuine, lasting professional relationships. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, content-rich environment. Willingness to travel (up to 50%) for events, meetings, and expert engagements.
Responsibilities:
Build, nurture, and manage a network of key opinion leaders (KOLs), rising experts, and clinical influencers in dermatology. Act as the connective tissue between dermatology experts and internal teams. Foster long-term partnerships with experts and co-create opportunities for collaboration. Develop and implement a strategic KOL community engagement plan. Facilitate strategic touchpoints with experts (e.g., roundtables, panels, podcasts). Create personalized engagement plans for high-impact thought leaders. Develop value propositions for KOLs to contribute insights and grow their influence. Integrate KOL insights into content planning and development (articles, video series, interviews). Shape editorial themes and topic pipelines based on expert conversations and trends. Serve as a clearinghouse of experts, facilitating introductions between KOLs and internal teams. Attend major dermatology meetings to deepen relationships and identify rising experts. Organize and support KOL-driven activities at events. Act as a visible company representative within the dermatology community. Collaborate with business development, content, product, and marketing teams. Share regular updates, feedback, and insights from the field.
