Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a U.S. healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in insurance eligibility verification and prior authorization processing.
- Understanding of commercial insurance plans, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
- Experience using insurance portals and payer websites.
- Experience working with EHR/EMR systems (EasyDerm is a plus).
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable laptop or desktop computer with high-speed internet (min 25 Mbps).
- Noise-canceling headset and working webcam for video meetings.
- Quiet and professional work environment.
- Ability to work 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST.
- Spanish language ability is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance eligibility, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance prior to appointments.
- Submit and track prior authorizations through payer portals.
- Update and maintain patient charts and insurance information within the EHR/EMR system.
- Answer inbound patient phone calls and assist with general inquiries.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols.
- Communicate authorization statuses clearly to providers and clinic staff.
