Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of fund accounting/operations experience
  • Experience in a fund administrator, investment manager, public accounting firm, or financial institution
  • Knowledge of private equity, private credit, and fund accounting
  • Understanding of legal structures, investment objectives, and fee structures
  • Advanced professional proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • CPA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with middle and back-office operations and account services on private market funds
  • Record transactions to the company’s investment management system
  • Liaise with investment managers, third party administrators and banks
  • Track forecasted cash flows – capital calls, distributions, invoices, etc.
  • Review transaction documentation and supporting files to understand investment features and accruals
  • Review monthly/quarterly closing packages, including capital and investment activity and income/expense accruals
  • Review management fee calculations and investor allocations
  • Review capital call and distribution calculations and waterfall (carried interest) models
  • Prepare and review financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules
  • Manage the year-end audit process in collaboration with clients, auditors, and service providers
