Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum concentration in accounting, finance, or business.
- 4+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
- 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Understanding of GAAP revenue recognition principles.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proven analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.
- Deadline-oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to process and analyze large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information.
- Agency or professional services experience is a plus.
- Experience with month-end close and project accounting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise monthly project accounting efforts, including leading status meetings with project managers.
- Review and reconcile new contracts, ensuring accuracy of milestones, tasks, and project setups.
- Manage business unit project revenues and ensure compliance with client contracts.
- Perform monthly revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and prepare revenue forecasts.
- Oversee client invoicing processes, including reconciliation and follow-up on past due invoices.
- Review and submit monthly client accruals and manage subcontractor agreements and costs.
- Collaborate with project leads and finance teams to facilitate project scope changes.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for annual audits.
- Mentor and manage junior staff members through career development.
