Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or business.
- 4+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Understanding of revenue recognition and month-end close processes.
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in Agency or Professional Services environments is a plus.
- Experience with Project Accounting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise monthly project accounting, including leading status meetings and managing project financial trackers.
- Review and reconcile new contracts, ensuring accurate project setup, mapping, and revenue recognition according to GAAP.
- Present project financials to stakeholders, managing budgets, forecasting, and tracking hours and expenses.
- Manage client invoicing, reconcile past due invoices, and oversee unbilled revenue aging.
- Prepare monthly accruals, support annual audits, and provide financial commentary for budget/forecast variances.
- Advise staff on financial best practices and mentor junior team members.
- Collaborate with project leads and other finance teams to facilitate project scope changes and business unit financial planning.
