Requirements
- 4-6+ years of accounting/finance-specific experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with R&D organizations.
- Strong proficiency in building bottoms-up and high-level financial models.
- Ability to translate technical roadmaps into financial frameworks.
- Experience with operating expense areas, ideally R&D or technical cost structures.
- SQL proficiency is a plus.
- Experience using AI tools for financial analysis and forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity and own processes from scoping to execution.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Own R&D financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for headcount, cloud infrastructure, and AI costs.
- Build and maintain models explaining cloud costs, usage drivers, and unit economics.
- Evaluate and track AI-related spend and assess ROI and trade-offs.
- Identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities across R&D spend.
- Develop scalable models for scenario and capacity planning.
- Prepare executive and board-level materials on R&D performance.
- Enhance forecasting accuracy and automate reporting processes.
