Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the vacation rental or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills (assessment required).
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, documentation, and reporting practices.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new software and property management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and critical thinking skills.
  • Minimum internet speed of 30 Mbps (wired connection).
  • Hardware: i5 11th Gen or higher, 8GB+ RAM, and Windows 11/MacOS Catalina or higher.
  • Private, quiet home office setup with power and internet backups.
  • High-quality headset and webcam.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly exit cleaning bills, maintenance payments, and arrival inspection transactions into QuickBooks.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor QuickBooks inputs for property and account accuracy.
  • Export work orders from Breezeway and update property management software to ensure accurate billing.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relations, including processing payments and resolving billing issues.
  • Create ad hoc financial reports and assist in preparing month-end financial statements for property owners.
  • Maintain organized digital and hard-copy financial documentation in Google Drive for audits and reviews.
  • Collaborate with property managers and reservationists to provide financial insights for operational decisions.
