Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in patient registration in a multi-specialty or hospital environment.
  • 2 years of medical billing (eligibility) experience.
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial products.
  • Ability to work in a remote environment within specified US states.

Responsibilities

  • Verify eligibility and benefits for daily visits in accordance with CHS procedures.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations and clarify coverage details.
  • Assess and determine if uninsured patients qualify for Medicaid or Federal Marketplace insurance.
  • Update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with information required for accurate billing.
  • Research and resolve registration and enrollment issues occurring during an individual's stay.
  • Reconcile daily visits with requested and confirmed applications.
  • Perform check-out reviews to confirm information is obtained prior to claim submission.
  • Coordinate registration and verification information with clinical and RCM teams.
