Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in patient registration in a multi-specialty or hospital environment.
- 2 years of medical billing (eligibility) experience.
- Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial products.
- Ability to work in a remote environment within specified US states.
Responsibilities
- Verify eligibility and benefits for daily visits in accordance with CHS procedures.
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations and clarify coverage details.
- Assess and determine if uninsured patients qualify for Medicaid or Federal Marketplace insurance.
- Update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with information required for accurate billing.
- Research and resolve registration and enrollment issues occurring during an individual's stay.
- Reconcile daily visits with requested and confirmed applications.
- Perform check-out reviews to confirm information is obtained prior to claim submission.
- Coordinate registration and verification information with clinical and RCM teams.
