Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare billing, insurance verification, and accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in CPT and ICD coding.
- Strong verbal communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient support.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during assigned PT/MT shifts.
- Must reside in AZ, ID, NV, OR, UT, or WA.
- Dedicated, private workspace with lockable door and high-speed internet for HIPAA compliance.
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for all new commercial enrollments.
- Convey policy benefit and eligibility information to patients.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding balances and non-covered charges.
- Assist enrollment and care teams with complex verification details.
- Maintain ongoing eligibility checks for accurate billing and clean claims.
- Identify and correct billing errors and resubmit claims.
- Research and rectify third-party denials and information requests.
- Develop and maintain standard insurance billing processes.
