Requirements:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Deep expertise in compensation design, analysis, benchmarking, and compliance
  • Experience designing and managing compensation programs for high-growth or technology-driven companies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead compensation cycles, market benchmarking, and job architecture work
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Sheets
  • Experience using market pricing tools (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Culpepper)
  • Ability to influence at all levels
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and judgment
  • Experience in healthcare, health tech, or similarly regulated industries (preferred)
  • Familiarity with equity compensation programs and cap table tools (e.g., Carta) (preferred)
  • CCP or similar certification (preferred)
  • Experience scaling compensation programs across geographically distributed teams (preferred)
Responsibilities:
  • Develop enterprise-wide compensation philosophy.
  • Lead market benchmarking and maintain compensation structures.
  • Create compensation policies and scalable processes.
  • Advise executive leadership on compensation strategy.
  • Manage design and administration of annual compensation cycles.
  • Own development of short-term incentive and sales commission programs.
  • Support equity program strategy.
  • Provide analytical insights on compensation data.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Lead pay equity analyses.
  • Consult HR Business Partners and business leaders on compensation.
  • Educate managers and employees on compensation.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on offers and hiring practices.
  • Enhance compensation systems, tools, and reporting.
  • Drive process improvements for data accuracy and scalability.
  • Manage relationships with compensation survey vendors.
