Responsibilities:
Lead tactical execution of PR program elements: media relations, analyst relations, awards, speaking, content. Manage projects from concept to completion, aligning with strategic goals, timelines, and budgets. Lead regular client communications, including weekly PR calls. Serve as a client resource, offering strategic counsel under pressure. Develop and present quarterly campaign and PR plans. Track competitor activity and identify opportunities for client commentary. Participate in media training sessions, developing key messages and follow-up. Develop budget recommendations and team priority allocations. Own and lead media relations efforts with existing relationships across key business and industry publications. Develop and deliver proactive, creative pitches for coverage. Identify emerging media opportunities and trends. Utilize social and digital channels to amplify earned media. Support social media influencer campaigns. Measure and report on ROI of communications activities. Provide coaching to junior team members on media relationships and pitching. Plan and create strategic content for campaigns and PR programs. Write and edit press releases, pitches, Q&As, award submissions, contributed articles, blog posts, bios, fact sheets, backgrounders, briefing books, and client correspondence. Deliver clear, timely, and articulate communication with clients and internal teams. Produce creative, consistent, and media-ready pitches. Lead reporting efforts using analytics tools to measure results and refine strategies. Present performance updates and campaign insights to clients. Collaborate across departments for seamless service integration. Evaluate and implement AI tools into workflows. Mentor junior team members through coaching and feedback. Foster a collaborative team environment. Model a respectful, proactive, and professional attitude. Support strong team dynamics by managing up and down. Participate in new business efforts. Contribute to Highwire’s thought leadership. Attend and encourage participation in networking events and industry panels. Identify opportunities for operational or cultural improvements. Set and track quarterly goals for professional growth. Prioritize responsibilities based on impact, client goals, and workflow. Drive projects forward independently.
