Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight years of progressive professional experience in the financial services industry as a loan officer or similar role.
- Advanced expertise in credit analysis, loan structuring, and business development.
- Expertise in at least one: affordable housing, education, healthcare, human services, or community facilities.
- Demonstrated success leading programs or projects to deliver on growth and impact goals.
- Market knowledge and existing relationships with nonprofits and stakeholders in New Jersey.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity.
- Exceptional and proactive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with online collaboration tools, Salesforce (or similar CRM), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- 25% travel requirement.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business and manage loan pipeline to meet enterprise-wide lending goals.
- Originate loans and NMTC transactions: identify, assess, negotiate, and support the structuring of complex financing.
- Develop and nurture new and existing client relationships ensuring a seamless financing process.
- Oversee the BEACoN NJ program, a $20MM 10-year statewide revolving loan fund.
- Maintain an active pipeline and relationships with nonprofits, developers, and consultants.
- Develop, recommend, and implement tactical annual plans for the Financing Department.
- Coordinate with Community Engagement and other Client Services staff on outreach strategies.
- Provide strategic and technical guidance to Loan Origination colleagues.
