Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MBA) preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare marketing, medical affairs, or medical communications agency environments.
- Proven success managing and growing healthcare or pharmaceutical accounts with annual revenues exceeding $2.5 million.
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a strategic business advisor to senior marketing, commercial, or medical affairs stakeholders.
- Strong leadership experience in overseeing, mentoring, and developing account management professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecast revenue, and contribute to business profitability.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical and biotech medical communications strategies and commercial planning.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation development and PowerPoint design capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to senior marketing and medical affairs stakeholders.
- Develop and execute annual strategic plans for a portfolio of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare clients.
- Guide cross-functional teams to deliver integrated medical communications and marketing solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including participating in pitches and proposal development.
- Manage and forecast account revenue while ensuring budget management and profitability.
- Mentor, coach, and support the professional development of account management staff.
