Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting.
  • Highly skilled in Excel spreadsheets and other accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve variances.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize work.
  • Experience with multi-site healthcare businesses or Ambulatory Surgery Centers is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Power BI is a plus.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and relevant state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close accounting operations for eye care clinics and ambulatory surgery centers with a focus on Inventory and COGS.
  • Serve as the primary accountant for inventory reporting using PODIS, managing orders, dispense logs, and contaminated drug logs.
  • Lead and execute the PODIS-to-SAP migration project, including data mapping and chart of accounts alignment.
  • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for PODIS-to-SAP integrations to validate data accuracy and transaction flows.
  • Prepare and deliver timely variance analysis of COGS to Revenue in collaboration with Operations and FP&A teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of ophthalmology clinical workflows, surgical billing, and insurance reimbursement drivers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and healthcare industry regulations.
