Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting.
- Highly skilled in Excel spreadsheets and other accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve variances.
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize work.
- Experience with multi-site healthcare businesses or Ambulatory Surgery Centers is preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP and Power BI is a plus.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and relevant state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close accounting operations for eye care clinics and ambulatory surgery centers with a focus on Inventory and COGS.
- Serve as the primary accountant for inventory reporting using PODIS, managing orders, dispense logs, and contaminated drug logs.
- Lead and execute the PODIS-to-SAP migration project, including data mapping and chart of accounts alignment.
- Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for PODIS-to-SAP integrations to validate data accuracy and transaction flows.
- Prepare and deliver timely variance analysis of COGS to Revenue in collaboration with Operations and FP&A teams.
- Maintain knowledge of ophthalmology clinical workflows, surgical billing, and insurance reimbursement drivers.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and healthcare industry regulations.
