Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of in-house experience in a similar industry or experience at a Big Four accounting firm
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience creating journal entries
- Experience reconciling complex accounts
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to meet constant deadlines
- Proven success working both independently and collaboratively
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the monthly close process on an end-to-end basis
- Prepare journal entries
- Reconcile accounts and propose adjusting entries
- Prepare or assist with financial reporting
- Analyze complex account activity and make recommendations for process improvements
- Maintain a fixed asset register
- Document and monitor internal controls
- Create detailed process documentation
- Research account activity to answer departmental inquiries
- Complete special projects and ad hoc analyses
