Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a direct sales role
- Experience in accounting, selling accounting services to business executives, or a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting
- Must be willing to work core business hours (approximately 8am to 5pm local time) within the U.S.
- Strong ability to prioritize and be very detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in a consulting or outsourced bookkeeping/accounting firm is preferred
- Experience in an enterprise SaaS company is preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is preferred
- General understanding of the corporate tax filing process is preferred
- Experience working with early-stage VC-backed startups is preferred
Responsibilities
- Achieve and consistently exceed sales goals by closing new business
- Educate and guide prospective customers through their buyer’s journey regarding finance and tax services
- Monitor and nurture inbound leads with follow-ups, and actively reach out to set up introductory calls
- Advise startup founders and operators on accounting and finance problems, actively recommending solutions
- Maintain and update records, notes, and details within Salesforce regarding leads, opportunities, and accounts
- Work cross-functionally with Onboarding, Tax, Accounting, and finance teams to echo the voice of the customer
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to refine the sales playbook, run tests, and experiment with new sales approaches
