Requirements
- 5-7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in business development or enterprise account management.
- Proven track record of selling into government, healthcare, or regulated environments.
- Experience closing new business opportunities in the $500K–$3M+ range.
- Deep understanding of government healthcare procurement including GSA schedules, state contracts, and public purchasing laws.
- Demonstrated expertise in navigating complex buying cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Consultative selling ability with strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for C-suite and government officials.
- Organizational discipline with CRM for forecasting and activity tracking.
- Self-starter mentality with experience in autonomous, field-based territory management.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, biomedical maintenance, or hospital infrastructure preferred.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and qualify prospective clients across state government healthcare including departments of health, university hospitals, and labs.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of government accounts, maintaining accurate forecasts and stakeholder mapping in CRM.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans that prioritize high-value accounts and drive sustainable new business growth.
- Navigate complex government buying cycles, procurement processes, and stakeholder structures to uncover operational challenges.
- Lead pricing discussions, proposal development, and contract negotiations aligned to government standards.
- Partner with service operations and account management teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and implementation.
