Requirements

  • Typically 2+ years’ experience in healthcare communications, advocacy, public affairs, patient engagement, or related agency environment.
  • Experience working with patient advocacy organizations, patient communities, NGOs, or healthcare stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare client service and ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
  • Ability to draft project scopes, contracts, presentations, briefs, and communication materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on schedule and on budget.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for client-facing presentations and meetings.
  • Comfortable conducting research and monitoring media or landscape developments.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of advocacy and patient engagement strategies aligned to brand, policy, access, and disease-area objectives.
  • Contribute to authentic, ethical and compliant engagement with patient advocacy organizations, coalitions and community leaders.
  • Design and deliver patient-centric programs, including education, awareness, advisory boards, summits, and community-based initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional client service and account management support across multiple client accounts and workstreams.
  • Drive flawless project execution by managing timelines, quality control, resourcing inputs, and status documentation.
  • Support new business development, pitches, and proposals with advocacy, patient, and policy expertise.
  • Mentor junior team members and manage upward by communicating risks and proposing solutions.
