Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.
  • 3+ years of experience in an NBA/Hotel related position (BBOPS or Hotel Sports & Entertainment Sales Manager).
  • Advanced knowledge of NBA and hotel logistics.
  • Existing book of business and industry relationships.
  • Advanced negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, CVENT, Google Suite, Zoom Info, and MS Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of hotel hierarchy.
  • Acute attention to detail, organization, and efficiency.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with team travel secretaries to develop detailed team resumes for hotel contracting.
  • Block potential hotels upon schedule release to accommodate various team travel scenarios.
  • Negotiate hotel contracts to secure best rates and concessions.
  • Review all arrangements with Hotel CSMs 72 hours prior to arrival.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for travel secretaries for last-minute needs.
  • Manage and oversee NBA Team accounts under the direction of the VP, NBA Travel & Hotel Partnerships.
  • Maintain account records, contacts, and prospects within Salesforce.
  • Actively source new business opportunities within professional sports teams.
