Requirements

  • Ability to drive complex B2B software sales cycles.
  • Proven experience in a Commercial Account Executive or similar role serving mid-market customers.
  • Experience selling complex SaaS or DevSecOps platforms.
  • Excellence in operational rigor for deal management using Salesforce and Clari (or similar CRM/forecasting tools).
  • Skill in managing and closing complex commercial deals using multi-threading and executive coverage strategies.
  • Self-starter capable of managing account planning and KPI execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach peers.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to articulate value at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to apply MEDPICC and Command of the Message sales methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a book of mid-market commercial accounts within the Australia territory.
  • Drive the full sales cycle including outbound prospecting, discovery, negotiation, and closing new ARR.
  • Meet or exceed quota by building and maintaining long-term executive-level customer relationships.
  • Manage territory accounts by documenting buying criteria, defining next steps, and creating accurate quarterly forecasts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales Development, Customer Success, and Solutions Architects to drive expansion and minimize churn.
  • Represent GitLab in customer meetings and events, delivering compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Mentor and coach fellow Account Executives by sharing sales strategies and customer insights.
  • Meet on-site regularly with key customers to develop strategic, long-term partnerships.
