Requirements

  • Experience driving complex B2B software sales cycles in commercial/mid-market roles.
  • Ability to learn and sell complex SaaS or DevSecOps platforms.
  • Operational rigor for deal management using Salesforce and Clari or similar tools.
  • Proven skill in multi-threading, negotiation, and executive coverage strategies.
  • Self-starter capable of managing account planning and KPI execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach peers.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to articulate value at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to remain solutions-focused under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a book of mid-market commercial accounts in the territory.
  • Drive the full sales cycle through outbound prospecting, discovery, negotiation, and closing.
  • Meet or exceed quota by building long-term customer relationships.
  • Articulate the value of GitLab's DevSecOps platform to prospects and customers.
  • Manage territory operations, including quarterly forecasting and opportunity documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal partners including Sales Development, Customer Success, and Solutions Architects.
  • Represent GitLab in customer meetings, events, and through compelling presentations.
  • Mentor and coach fellow Commercial Account Executives to elevate team performance.
  • Conduct regular on-site meetings with key customers to develop executive-level relationships.
