Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a Life Science discipline.
  • Professional or academic experience in automated liquid handling.
  • Demonstrated education and/or experience in sales.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn scientific terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to make formal and informal product presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned East Coast territory.
  • Ability to function in multiple laboratory safety levels.
  • Knowledge of the lab environment and sales cycle is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of a CRM system such as Salesforce is preferred.
  • Background in Genomics or Protein Crystallography is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage annual sales targets for the Apricot product line across the East Coast.
  • Perform product demonstrations and provide post-sales support.
  • Generate outbound leads and manage end-to-end sales pipelines.
  • Build consultative relationships with customers to provide adequate scientific solutions.
  • Position SPT solutions relative to end-user workflows and benefits.
  • Cross-sell the broader product range.
  • Maintain CRM data and management.
  • Collaborate with territory and key account managers.
