Requirements
- 1–4 years of experience, ideally in Big 4 audit, US-focused accounting, or rigorous finance work.
- CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Exceptional academic or professional achievement (e.g., Latin honors, CPA board rating of 88+, or national competition results).
- Strong knowledge of accounting mechanics including reconciliations, reporting, and close discipline.
- Excellent written English for clear communication with non-finance stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using software like QuickBooks and Xero, plus modern AI tools.
- Strongly proactive with a track record of independent problem-solving.
- Ability to work with flexibility and manage multiple company books simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve accounting structures, chart of accounts, reporting lines, and internal accounts for existing and acquired businesses.
- Set up and clean up books for new or early-stage companies to ensure business lines are clearly understood.
- Build detailed profit and loss reporting by company, app, and business line, covering revenue, costs, CAC/LTV, and ROI.
- Run and improve financial closes, reconciliations, intercompany balances, and recurring reporting across multiple entities.
- Investigate discrepancies in accounting records, including misallocated expenses, missing records, and potential fraud.
- Support acquisition work through target analysis, due diligence, seller verification, and scenario modeling.
- Coordinate with bookkeepers, accountants, tax advisors, and operating teams to streamline finance functions.
