Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven success in commercial software sales with a consistent track record of exceeding targets.
  • Experience managing complex sales processes within enterprise markets such as Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or AI/ML.
  • Proven ability to independently develop and close new client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of commercial open-source business models, including on-premise and cloud/SaaS hybrid solutions.
  • Ability to craft and execute sales strategies tailored to specific industries.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger Sales.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams like Pre-Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Experience building relationships with decision-makers including CTOs and IT leaders.
  • Proficiency in standard corporate productivity tools like Google Docs, Salesforce, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan targeting key organizations and applicable use cases to build a robust pipeline.
  • Deliver compelling demos, presentations, and proposals that articulate business value.
  • Lead complex sales cycles using strategic selling methodologies and the Land & Expand model.
  • Manage the full sales process from prospecting to closing, securing new logos and expanding existing accounts.
  • Guide and mentor BDRs and Field Marketing resources to align on target accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM and adhere to forecasting guidelines.
  • Develop partnerships with public cloud providers to drive growth opportunities.
