Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience with proven success leading teams and managing client relationships within the food industry.
- Demonstrated success setting and executing strategy in a mission-driven, growth-stage organization.
- Deep knowledge of the food industry landscape including sustainability, ESG, and supply chain dynamics.
- Strong understanding of food waste as a business challenge and opportunity.
- Experience initiating and developing high-trust relationships with senior leaders at major food companies.
- Strong strategic and critical thinking skills with comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive presence.
- Strong commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) principles.
- Ability to travel approximately once per month for domestic and international engagements.
- Proficiency with G Suite, Slack, Salesforce, and Airtable preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a formal member of the ReFED Leadership Team to contribute to enterprise-wide strategy.
- Set and communicate a multi-year strategy for the Business Initiatives team aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee the strategy and quality of business consulting and advisory services.
- Provide strategic leadership to the U.S. Food Waste Pact including advisory council management.
- Cultivate high-value partnerships with food businesses, trade associations, and industry allies.
- Lead, develop, and manage the Business Services team including Directors and an Analyst.
- Contribute to fundraising, business development, grant proposals, and budget management.
