Requirements
- 10+ years of PR or strategic communications experience, with significant agency leadership experience.
- Deep, direct experience leading communications for medtech and digital health companies (e.g., medical devices, diagnostics, health IT, connected health).
- Proven success owning and scaling integrated communications programs for complex, high-growth clients.
- Strong command of the health tech and medtech media landscape, analyst community, and industry influencers.
- Solid understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment, including FDA digital health/SaMD pathways, FTC, HIPAA, and industry codes.
- Exceptional strategic writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience providing executive-level client counsel and managing senior stakeholder relationships (C-suite/Board-level).
- Track record of building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams.
- Strong business acumen with experience in forecasting, resourcing, and revenue growth.
- Experience supporting and winning new business in a competitive agency environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead for a portfolio of key digital innovation health accounts, setting strategic direction and ensuring best-in-class delivery.
- Advise clients across medtech, medical devices, diagnostics, digital health platforms, health IT, connected care, and AI/ML-enabled health solutions.
- Define and oversee integrated communications strategies to build brand authority and market leadership in a highly regulated space.
- Provide executive-level counsel on messaging, positioning, reputation management, and crisis response.
- Guide teams in translating complex clinical and engineering concepts into clear stories for executive, clinical, and patient audiences.
- Own senior client relationships as a trusted advisor, ensuring client satisfaction and driving organic account growth.
- Oversee financial performance for assigned accounts, including budgets, forecasting, and staffing models.
- Contribute to Highwire's thought leadership, media relations, and executive visibility strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop account teams while supporting recruitment and performance management.
- Support new business development through pitch strategy, proposal development, and client presentations.
