Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field (preferred).
- 2–3 years of experience in commercial mechanical estimating, preferably within the US construction market.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping systems, and mechanical construction methods.
- Proven experience performing digital quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the creation and maintenance of estimating templates.
- Experience using construction management tools such as Procore or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time aligned with US Eastern Time business hours.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial mechanical systems, including HVAC ductwork, piping, and related installations.
- Prepare accurate material and cost estimates using Excel-based templates and established estimating tools.
- Support bid preparation, proposal development, and overall pre-construction planning activities.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and construction documents to define scope, identify risks, and ensure accuracy in estimates.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and specification updates throughout the bidding and pre-construction process.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing, technical details, and quotations for project components.
- Maintain organized and accurate estimating documentation and project records.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers while independently managing assigned estimating tasks in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
