Requirements
- Previous administrative experience at the school or district level (e.g., Principal, Superintendent).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with school administrators.
- Demonstrated desire to learn and grow, such as keeping up with industry podcasts or books.
- Ability to pivot and adapt in a startup environment with a scrappy, problem-solving mindset.
- 3+ years of proven success in sales, ideally in edtech or service-related sales.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working remotely or in a virtual sales environment.
- Passion for education and closing the opportunity gap.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from identifying and prospecting new district partners and stakeholders through negotiating contracts and closing deals.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Consult with school administrators to understand their needs and demonstrate how services support students and teachers.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to key decision-makers.
- Evaluate and refine sales processes and methodologies to improve performance.
- Develop processes for identifying at-risk deals and collaborate across departments to mitigate concerns.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team to ensure successful onboarding and implementation of new clients.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities.
- Travel as needed to conferences or partner schools.
