Requirements

  • Previous administrative experience at the school or district level (e.g., Principal, Superintendent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with school administrators.
  • Demonstrated desire to learn and grow, such as keeping up with industry podcasts or books.
  • Ability to pivot and adapt in a startup environment with a scrappy, problem-solving mindset.
  • 3+ years of proven success in sales, ideally in edtech or service-related sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working remotely or in a virtual sales environment.
  • Passion for education and closing the opportunity gap.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from identifying and prospecting new district partners and stakeholders through negotiating contracts and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Consult with school administrators to understand their needs and demonstrate how services support students and teachers.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to key decision-makers.
  • Evaluate and refine sales processes and methodologies to improve performance.
  • Develop processes for identifying at-risk deals and collaborate across departments to mitigate concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to ensure successful onboarding and implementation of new clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities.
  • Travel as needed to conferences or partner schools.
