Requirements
- 2-3 years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in at least one modern language such as Python or Java
- Comfortable working with relational databases (Postgres)
- Familiarity with version control, code review, and automated testing
- Strong communication skills for a remote, async-friendly team
- Exposure to building cloud-based services or microservices (preferred)
- Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and unstructured storage (preferred)
- Experience with React on the front end (preferred)
- Familiarity with Python, Java, FastAPI, Spring Boot, React, Postgres, Kubernetes, GCP, GHA (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features and services within your team's architecture
- Help migrate rapidly-prototyped applications into production-grade, well-architected cloud services
- Take on development tasks that carry some ambiguity, asking good questions to close the gaps
- Participate in code reviews and uphold the team's standards for engineering and operational excellence
- Write, review, and update technical documentation
- Collaborate across the team to deliver quality work at a steady pace
