Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2+ years specialization in billing, AR, revenue recognition, and month-end close in a SaaS environment
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and ability to apply guidance to non-standard contracts
- Experience with sales tax compliance (e.g., Anrok, Avalara)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar GL systems
- Proven ability to manage month-end close, bank reconciliations, and accruals
- Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA is a plus
- Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline accounting workflows
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end billing operations, including order form review and invoice issuance
- Monitor accounts receivable and drive collections, resolving discrepancies cross-functionally
- Manage revenue recognition (ASC 606) across subscription, cloud, and professional services contracts
- Reconcile deferred revenue and unbilled AR accounts
- Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, CS, and Legal on billing and revenue treatment
- Maintain sales tax compliance and coordinate filings
- Support month-end close including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Contribute to broader accounting tasks such as AP, payroll, and GL
- Assist with audits, reporting, and process improvements using AI/automation
