  • Experience reviewing and analyzing medical records (preferred)
  • Understanding of VA regulations, disability rating criteria, and medical terminology (preferred)
  • Familiarity with military culture or veterans disability law (preferred)
  • Experience with legal case management systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Review VA decisions, rating decisions, denial letters, and claim files
  • Analyze medical records, military records, and supporting evidence to identify theories of entitlement
  • Draft written arguments, case summaries, and legal memoranda supporting disability claims
  • Translate complex medical and military documentation into clear, organized written advocacy
  • Research VA regulations, rating criteria, and relevant legal authorities
  • Manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high quality and accuracy
