Requirements
- 8-12 years of progressively senior experience in a relevant role.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, complex, and cross-organizational programmes with limited supervision.
- Deep understanding of climate change, including technical, political, and economic drivers.
- Strong technical expertise in decarbonizing iron and steel.
- Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills for working with senior external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to initiate and manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong research and analytic skills to evaluate innovative ideas.
- Passion for climate change mitigation and a commitment to diverse, inclusive work environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of grants, including assessment, disbursement, and evaluation of complex decisions.
- Manage senior relationships with grantees to ensure strategic alignment and accountability.
- Co-direct portfolio-level budgeting, resource allocation, and multi-year planning.
- Develop and set program standards, tools, and operating practices for the Hub.
- Partner with the Director of Steel and Energy Infrastructure to execute strategic plans and vet high-impact grant opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across government, finance, and academia.
- Monitor and interpret emerging trends in steel decarbonization and energy systems.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange through briefings, events, and written outputs.
