Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Deep experience managing Atlassian Cloud Enterprise ecosystem, including cloud architecture and sandbox environments.
- Deep expertise in Jira configuration: workflows, issue type schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes, custom fields, screens, and components.
- Proven experience designing and governing Jira at scale.
- Strong Jira Automation skills with ability to build and explain complex rules.
- Solid understanding of Jira REST API’s, webhooks, and basic scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Groovy).
- Experience with Statuspage administration.
- Experience aligning Atlassian configuration with corporate compliance and audit standards.
- Experience with vetting, implementing, and governing third-party marketplace apps.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A bias toward simplicity, sustainability, and security-minded configuration.
Responsibilities
- Champion the strategy for clean data architecture and own the architecture, configuration, and governance of 1Password's Atlassian platform.
- Participate in the company's Jira Council to triage requests and drive decisions that balance platform integrity with organizational needs.
- Partner with engineering, product, IT, and security teams to build Atlassian platform solutions.
- Design and enforce Atlassian platform governance standards including project creation policies and permission models.
- Build and maintain Jira automations to improve data quality.
- Lead Atlassian tool onboarding, create training materials, and run enablement sessions.
- Own the Atlassian vendor relationship and shape the platform roadmap.
- Identify technical debt, evaluate third-party apps, and audit plugins for security compliance.
- Document configurations, workflows, and decisions for maintainability.
