Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering with hands-on production cloud infrastructure ownership.
- Deep familiarity with AWS services such as ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, IAM, and VPC.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skills using Terraform and/or Terragrunt in production.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Solid scripting ability in Python and/or Bash.
- Demonstrated experience with observability platforms like Datadog or CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with production database operations for Postgres and Redis.
- Ability to debug complex, cross-system issues.
- Experience mentoring and guiding earlier-career engineers.
- Strong written communication skills for design docs, runbooks, and technical updates.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain HIPAA-compliant, multi-account AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt with a GitOps mindset.
- Build resilient GitHub Actions pipelines and implement safe release strategies such as Blue/Green deployments.
- Ensure high availability and version upgrades for core data stores including Postgres, ElastiCache, and OpenSearch.
- Mature full-stack telemetry and refine on-call workflows to drive key metrics like MTTR and deployment frequency.
- Enforce security guardrails across AWS and GitHub and develop self-serve infrastructure for product teams.
- Author technical design documents, conduct code reviews, and provide mentorship to earlier-career engineers.
