- 10+ years of experience in payer relations, managed care, or healthcare contracting; minimum 7 years in senior leadership roles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field required; advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or JD) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in payer relations, managed care, or healthcare contracting.
- Minimum 7 years in senior leadership roles managing successful teams.
- Deep expertise in behavioral health reimbursement, preferably in eating disorder treatment.
- Demonstrated success negotiating complex payer agreements in multi-state environments.
- Excellent analytical, data-driven decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong command of challenges and risks in Health Plans, Hospital, and Provider Group markets.
- Experience with residential and sub-acute behavioral health reimbursement.
- Experience with Medicaid managed care across multiple states.
- Experience with out-of-network and Single Case Agreement (SCA) negotiations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a unified enterprise payer strategy.
- Lead all aspects of payer contracting including in-network, out-of-network, and dispute resolution.
- Serve as the executive point of contact for national, regional, and local payer stakeholders.
- Monitor reimbursement rates and revenue yield in partnership with Finance and Revenue Cycle Management.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to align payer policies with care models and execution.
- Monitor behavioral health regulatory developments and parity enforcement.
- Identify and lead value-based care initiatives and alternative payment models.
