10+ years of experience in payer relations, managed care, or healthcare contracting; Minimum 7 years in senior leadership roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in payer relations, managed care, or healthcare contracting.
  • Minimum 7 years in senior leadership roles with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Deep expertise in behavioral health reimbursement, preferably in eating disorder treatment.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating complex payer agreements in multi-state environments.
  • Experience with residential and sub-acute behavioral health reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid managed care across multiple states.
  • Familiarity with out-of-network and single case agreement negotiations.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making with strong analytical skills.
  • Prior relationships or experience with payers in MN, OH, WA, PA, NC, or GA preferred.
  • Advanced degrees such as MBA, MHA, MPH, or JD are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a unified enterprise payer strategy.
  • Lead all aspects of payer contracting, including in-network agreements and out-of-network strategies.
  • Serve as the executive liaison to negotiate and build long-term partnerships with national, regional, and local payers.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management and Finance to monitor reimbursement, reduce denials, and improve net revenue.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leadership to ensure payer policies support evidence-based care models.
  • Lead value-based care initiatives, alternative payment models, and risk-based arrangements.
