Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience
- Deep expertise designing and operating cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes and containerized microservices in production
- Strong experience designing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise CI/CD platforms and deployment pipelines
- Understanding of networking, security, IAM, secret management, and cloud architecture
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested automation and infrastructure code
- Experience with GCP tools (GKE, Cloud Run, Helm, VPC Networking, Cloud SQL, Atlas)
- Experience with automation and CI/CD tools (Harness, Cloud Build, Docker, Vault, Github)
- Experience with observability tools (Google Cloud Monitoring/Stackdriver, New Relic)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for our cloud platform and infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of our CI/CD platform and deployment automation.
- Develop self-service tooling that enables engineers to provision, deploy, and operate services independently.
- Improve platform reliability, disaster recovery readiness, observability, and cloud cost efficiency.
- Establish engineering standards, best practices, and reusable platform patterns.
- Mentor engineers through architecture reviews, code reviews, technical guidance, and collaborative problem solving.
- Lead complex technical initiatives from research and planning through production deployment.
- Partner closely with Software Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term platform improvements.
