Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.
- Demonstrated history as a formal people manager or technical lead with direct reports.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production.
- Strong AWS fundamentals, including compute, networking, IAM, and production operations.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong observability fundamentals (metrics, logging, distributed tracing, SLO/SLI design).
- Experience building automation using Bash and Python or Go.
- Proficiency with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
- Experience driving root cause analysis and implementing long-term technical fixes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers with full accountability for their performance, growth, and wellbeing.
- Perform hands-on technical contributions, carrying significant engineering weight alongside the team.
- Translate architectural direction into sprint-level tasks to ensure delivery quality and predictability.
- Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines, delivery automation, and self-service workflows using infrastructure-as-code.
- Improve observability, operational readiness, and SLO-based alerting strategies.
- Champion AI-assisted development practices, including prompt engineering and tooling integrations.
- Coordinate incident response and participate in on-call rotations to maintain system reliability.
