Requirements

  • Recent college or university degree in Sales, Marketing, or a business-related field.
  • 1-2 years of account management experience in the transportation and logistics field (asset).
  • 3+ years of sales and account management experience in the transportation and logistics field (preferred).
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on internal and external customer needs.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with customers through constant communication to meet day-to-day and long-term needs.
  • Manage customer expectations and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with the implementation team to ensure accuracy in pricing programs.
  • Participate in rate matrix reviews to ensure profitability and competitiveness for key accounts.
  • Execute rate calculations, report preparation, and customer presentations for large-spend bids.
  • Identify, manage, and build new business relationships within the target market.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of clients, prospects, partners, and vendors.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor activity.
  • Prepare sales budgets, reports, and expense account documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings for prospects, sales, and current customers in partnership with the VP of Sales/CS.
