Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in category management or commercial strategy, preferably within the CPG or food industry.
  • Proven success developing and implementing category plans that deliver growth and profitability.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working with retailers and managing category relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with category management and analytics tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, SPINS).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% to support retail partnerships and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category management strategies and 3-year roadmaps aligned with company goals.
  • Lead assortment planning, pricing optimization, and promotional effectiveness to meet financial targets.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to drive category plans and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Leverage data analytics and category management tools to monitor performance, track KPIs, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Manage relationships with key retail partners to influence category development and secure shelf space.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing category management team.
  • Lead monthly business reviews (MBRs) and planning cycles.
