Requirements

  • Proven experience in a quota-carrying Account Executive or similar sales role.
  • Ability to sell strategically, not just run a generic demo or pitch.
  • Experience managing a sales cycle with multiple stakeholders and clear commercial next steps.
  • Confidence explaining and negotiating commercial terms, including SaaS and performance-based models.
  • Strong CRM hygiene and pipeline discipline.
  • Curiosity around sales tooling, data, automation and AI-enabled workflows.
  • A bias towards action and ownership.
  • Comfort creating some of your own pipeline rather than relying only on inbound or SDR supply.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, lightly structured startup environment.
  • Comfort working US-market hours up to 3 days per week, typically 12:30pm-8pm UK time.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from qualified opportunity through to close.
  • Run strong discovery to understand prospect goals, pain points and commercial fit.
  • Demo Gocertify clearly and tailor the pitch to the goals of marketing, ecommerce, CRM, loyalty and partnerships teams.
  • Manage stakeholders across retail, e-commerce, marketing and partnership teams.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and keep priority deals moving with pace and discipline.
  • Create your own pipeline through outbound, follow-up and account research.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including stages, notes, stakeholders, dates and next steps.
  • Share customer feedback to improve positioning, onboarding and product development.
  • Ensure closed-won customers have a clear handover into Client Success.
