Requirements
- 5–8 years of finance and operations experience for SMEs or owner-operated businesses.
- Deep, current experience with Xero across multi-entity setups.
- Strong Australian tax context including BAS, GST, super, STP, and FBT.
- Demonstrated experience as a cashflow operator with ability to improve DSO, late fees, and working capital.
- Google Sheets fluency for modeling and analysis.
- Inventory management exposure including reorder points, EOQ, and S&OP rhythms.
- Ability to work in a proactive, analytical capacity to push insights.
- Experience managing financial rhythms across distinct business entities.
Responsibilities
- Run month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination across a portfolio of related entities.
- Manage and maintain granular weekly cash flow reporting to ensure visibility on runway and working capital.
- Oversee inventory planning including reorder points, EOQ, and S&OP rhythms for the physical product business.
- Implement operational process discipline and financial controls across Xero, ApprovalMax, and Unleashed.
- Partner with the owner and external Australian accountants to provide financial insights and drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Track customer and SKU-level sales visibility to provide proactive reporting on actual versus budget performance.
