Requirements
- 3+ years in finance or accounting operations with direct ownership of AR, collections, or payouts.
- Full-cycle accounts receivable experience (invoicing, collections, cash application, aging management).
- Intermediate accounting literacy regarding AR/AP and three-party creator/brand/platform flows.
- Advanced Google Sheets proficiency (large multi-tab workbooks, filter views, data hygiene).
- Experience with Bill.com and QuickBooks Online or equivalent platforms.
- Month-end close experience against hard deadlines.
- Comfort handling large transactional datasets from tools like Mode and Stripe.
- Professional written communication skills for brand and creator correspondence.
- Ability to work remotely in an async environment.
- Hands-on experience with Stripe (strongly preferred).
- Experience with ads, media, or marketplace finance (nice to have).
- Experience working with engineering teams on finance tooling/automation (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Manage the full order-to-cash cycle for newsletter sponsorships.
- Put signed insertion orders on the books.
- Invoice brands and maintain a disciplined dunning cycle for collections.
- Execute creator payouts once brand payments are received.
- Perform month-end close by business day 4.
- Reconcile QuickBooks Online with internal financial trackers.
- Surface and address manual sync issues or payout variances.
