Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in organizing, political campaigns, civic engagement, advocacy, or movement-building organizations
  • Experience leading large-scale organizing programs, including at least one election cycle utilizing relational organizing or voter mobilization tactics
  • Demonstrated success managing relationships with senior stakeholders, external partners, vendors, or coalition organizations
  • Experience overseeing paid canvass operations, field programs, or large-scale grassroots engagement efforts
  • Strong program management skills, including budgeting, logistics coordination, performance tracking, and operational execution
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and supporting staff development through coaching and mentorship
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust across diverse groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to incorporate research findings and evidence into program design and decision-making
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment that requires adaptability, initiative, and strategic thinking
  • Availability to work during core Eastern Time business hours and travel up to 40% as needed

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with partner organizations, campaign leaders, and external stakeholders to support the successful implementation of voter engagement programs
  • Provide strategic guidance, training, technical assistance, and operational support to partners deploying relational organizing and voter mobilization tactics at scale
  • Oversee program planning, execution, and performance management, ensuring resources, priorities, and timelines are aligned with program objectives
  • Manage relationships with paid canvass firms, including vendor evaluation, contracting support, training oversight, and performance monitoring
  • Develop and implement systems that promote quality control, program integrity, compliance, and risk mitigation across organizing initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for program improvement, operational efficiency, and innovation based on evidence and field learnings
  • Potentially lead and mentor a small team, fostering professional development, accountability, and a collaborative culture
  • Track program outcomes, maintain accurate reporting systems, and provide regular updates to leadership, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Contribute to donor communications, program documentation, post-cycle evaluations, and organizational learning efforts
