Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive payroll experience.
- Experience with multi-state, multi-unit payroll in healthcare or complex environments.
- Deep experience supporting hourly, salaried, and contractor populations.
- Working knowledge of payroll tax compliance and wage-and-hour laws.
- Experience managing payroll audits, tax notices, and garnishments.
- Experience administering 401(k) and benefit-related deductions.
- Advanced experience with payroll/timekeeping systems (UKG, ADP, or Workday).
- Strong Excel and reporting skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Responsibilities
- Execute bi-weekly payroll for multi-state, multi-entity healthcare workforce.
- Process payments for hourly, salaried, and contractor populations.
- Manage complex pay components including shift differentials, clinical premiums, and overtime.
- Oversee inputs for time, attendance, PTO, leaves, bonuses, and commissions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws.
- Manage payroll tax setup, filings, and year-end processes (W-2, 1099).
- Conduct payroll audits and reconcile accounts.
- Act as system owner for payroll and timekeeping platforms.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including People, Finance, and Legal.
