Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, ideally within multifamily housing, hospitality, senior living, or active adult communities.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site operations, including lease-up properties and performance-driven environments.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, scale, and develop high-performing teams across distributed operations.
  • Strong sales and customer experience orientation, with familiarity in CRM systems and sales processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
  • Highly preferred experience with property management systems (e.g., Yardi, RentCafe).

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall operational strategy across multiple communities, ensuring alignment with financial, occupancy, sales, and resident experience goals.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop regional and site leadership teams to drive performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Establish and enforce standardized operating procedures, KPIs, and performance frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, asset management, finance, people operations, and development teams to ensure operational alignment.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and achievement of NOI and revenue targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, service quality, and resident satisfaction.
  • Identify risks, resolve operational issues at the root cause, and ensure proactive mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including equity partners and internal leadership teams.
  • Oversee talent strategy including hiring, development, succession planning, and retention of top operational leaders.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure operational excellence and maintain strong visibility across communities.
