Requirements
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in a collection role.
- Previous experience in the solar industry is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures.
- Experience with skip tracing tools and investigative techniques.
- Proficiency in Excel and computer navigation skills.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Customer service or call center experience.
- Familiarity with Zuora or similar billing systems.
- Ability to work US Eastern/Central Timezone night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of residential and commercial accounts to recover outstanding balances.
- Negotiate and secure payment commitments while maintaining customer relationships.
- De-escalate challenging situations using active listening and empathy.
- Utilize Salesforce, Zuora, and internal portals for account management.
- Document and track all collections processes for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide explanations of community solar benefits to enhance customer retention.
- Perform skip tracing to locate hard-to-reach customers.
- Meet or exceed departmental KPIs, including dollars collected and call volumes.
- Collaborate with other departments to manage collection cases effectively.
