- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA or equivalent professional certification
- 10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or high-growth, technology-focused companies
- Significant exposure to complex technical accounting matters
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP
- Working understanding of IFRS concepts and differences
- Highly self-directed and accountable
- Proven ability to deliver against defined objectives and timelines
- Ability to work effectively across functions and levels of the organization
- Critical thinker with the ability to foresee potential obstacles
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally on contemplated business transactions to ensure accounting issues are identified, resolved, and documented in high-quality technical memos.
- Own the development of technical accounting memoranda and accounting policies for new products, transactions, and business initiatives.
- Perform independent accounting research and exercise professional judgment.
- Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting pronouncements and regulatory updates.
- Own the creation, revision, and maintenance of Company-wide accounting policies.
- Establish, document, and educate others on Company-wide accounting policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide documentation for policy positions.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly close review processes.
